This is a mixed-use wellness centre which includes a training facility, treatment rooms, rehabilitation centre including a pool, kitchen and craft areas that relate to the organic gardens, an in-residence facility for visiting lecturers, monks and community leaders.
There is a sacred space for meditation and the centre is designed around a central cloister and landscaped courtyard. Inspiration for this design starts with how the centre will be experienced and the journey through the building. The plan is laid out with the proportions of Phi (the golden number) which is a mathematical proportion found commonly in nature and in many ancient and modern landmark buildings and structures. The proposed plan is inspired by StillPoints’ logo for their Integrated Therapeutic Alignment (ITA) course.
The current design is 1,850 square metres and currently seeking funding for a location in the Perth foothills.
