A substantial 870 square metre holiday home in Yallingup for a young family who wanted the flexibility of intimate spaces and the ability to throw the house open to entertain and also have guests stay overnight.
The site is also a working vineyard and the Brief included cellar door and small office space for the wine business, on a spectacular undulating site with far off ocean views. The site features a lake with an island and areas of virgin bush.
The concept is an all glass house to take in the landscape wrapped in an outer shell of metal and stone for protection against the elements, create privacy and frame views of the horizon.
Two three storey breezeways segment the house to articulate the functional brief and create semi outdoor areas with a sense of grandeur.
